i post on a couple of forums and read and lurk and all that stuff.. a theme that seems to be gaining momentum is about how the gb are 'tightening their grip' and 'becoming more cultish'.. i don't read the publications anymore and oddly i read extracts of them on the forums.. punk is babbling now.............sorry...................my questions are (sorry if they're a bit long.

been out for a few years now but right around the time I left they came up with the public and private WT's and from then on I see a steady increase of control and getting rid of there baggage (the weak ones)
I was in a bethel congregation when it went down with Franz and I was too young to understand fully but at least in my area APOSTACY was a big topic. any hint of questioning and you were talked to pronto
as it pertains to evolution or creation?
with modern science looking at the construction of the human body they have found some organs that are no longer necessary for function, and believe they are carry overs from evolution.
with this in mind, and potential flaws in our design, if we were created by an all knowing, highly advanced god, should we not have been "built" better?.

ok last time i went to the laudermat all i found was a trifold tract from the jw's.
they gave me so much room to write ( why do they do that?

okay, you're probably wondering what the hell this funky little astronaut has to do with this.
first a quick setup.... like most on here i'm sure we're all aware of the struggle to rid ourselves of our jw programming.
top of my mind lately is realizing i'm not living my life.
I've writen things that even I don't understand but have a vauge recolection of what I was wanting to say? sometime I send an e-mail and get a reply like... what? and when I read what I wrote I'm like sorry not sure what that was about? I'll say the same thing over and over or ask something I know the answer to... I don't know facebook me and you'll see it some time
now i met this nice woman on the net.
its a six hour cardrive away.
due to my employment, there is no way i could give up my position and just move to her.
sure! relationships are complicated but all sorts have worked and all sorts have failed. Distance is just one obstical or you don't even need to view it as a bad thing. It is just part of your relationship. I spend 1/2 the week away from my man and though I wish I could spend every night with him, it works for us.

- some loser once took offense that i hugged a sister goodbye at a leaving do and ran back to the elders like a little child telling on me.
i was 15, this sister was in her 40s at the time.. - this elder said someone told him they saw me with a copy of the sun newspaper.
yes, this paper is known for its 'page 3' topless girls but far from pornagraphic and i wasn't even thinking along those lines.. - one brother who had a good job was 'counselled' because he was actually able to buy himself nice things including a new car (shock, horror!!
still blocked for me? anyway the "you may stumble" card gave the local elders room to make ANY rule up that they wanted!!!

as an elder i would have a hard time putting my heart into writing up a local needs talk that was targeting one or two congregation members, knowing full well they probably wouldn't be there to hear it.. .
